The last thing you probably want to see if you’re walking by a funeral home is a bunch of ghosts. The second thing you don’t want to see? A batch of blood seeping out. But that is exactly what happened recently on a road in Louisiana.

Photographs and video show blood coming out of the Greenoaks Funeral Home in Baton Ridge from a valve outside the business. According to city officials, a stoppage in a line had caused the blood, which was mixed with an embalming fluid containing formaldehyde, to leak from a storage tank located behind the building.
While the leak only lasted 20 minutes, it did make its way into the sewer system. Take a look at the video below to see the gross scene.
Here’s what Adam Smith, with the City of Baton Rouge Department of Environmental Services, had to say to WBRZ about this chaos.
“We sent out both our sewer inspector and our environmental specialists to take a look. We determined that it wasn’t a sewer issue and that it was an issue on private property.”
No word yet if the funeral home will face a citation over this scene. But what we do know is that blood of countless people made its way down a road and that just freaks us the hell out.
