In a series of bizarre Instagram videos, pop superstar Shakira claims to have been attacked by a pair of wild boars. While on vacation, Shakira and her son were visiting a Barcelona park when they were ambushed by the boars. The “She Wolf” singer says the boars staged an attack, and when she was defenseless they stole her purse, which had all of her belongings, including her mobile phone.
Of course, it goes without saying that nobody should mess with a pop icon. Especially when she’s prepared to throw down whenever, wherever. Shakira chased the boars into the woods, returning with her mangled designer purse.
In a video posted on her Instagram Stories, Shakira explains, “Look at how two wild boar which attacked me in the park have left my bag.” Then she turned to her 8-year-old son and asked him to corroborate her story saying, “Milan, tell the truth,” she told him. “Say how your mummy stood up to the wild boar.”
It turns out, everything we learned about wild boars from “The Lion King” is wrong. Turns out they’re not cute, farting sidekicks, but actually hellhounds. According to data derived from the BBC: Wild boar attacks have been steadily rising for years. In 2016, the Spanish police received 1,187 complaints related to wild board disturbances. The animals have found solace in big city life thanks to their love of human trash so it’s surprising they haven’t made their way to America yet.
