Woman With Split Tongue Can Taste 2 Things at Once (And Is Giving Us Impure Ideas)

This story might be a little hard to swallow. Should we start with the fact that the latest TikTok star has a split tongue? And that she chose to modify her body in this freakish way? Or that she can taste two different things at one time?

Before your head starts spinning, some explanation. Her name is Brianna Mary Shihadeh, and she’s a dreadlock artist (groan) from California (where else?) who goes by @flowerfriendly on TikTok.

For reasons beyond our understanding, she had her tongue surgically divided in two. Now she can do cool things like taste two different kinds of soda at once.

Partaking in a decades-long debate, Shihadeh pitted Pepsi and Coke against each other to see which fizzy was sweeter.

“I always thought coke was sweeter until I tried this,” she captioned a now-viral vid that she posted to her 1.7 million followers.

In the clip, she positions two glasses of the respective colas in front of the camera, then leans in and submerges both sides of her reptile-like tongue into the sodas. Her facial expression is one of contemplation and surprise.

“It’s so similar. They honestly taste the same,” she concluded. She later added in the comments: “Just as a side note, I noticed more fizz on one side; it seemed like the Pepsi had more carbonation even though I opened it first.”

She then asked followers what she should taste-test next, and got no shortage of suggestions.

“A can of sprite and a McDonald’s sprite,” one fan commented.

“Milk and orange juice,” offered another.

“Mouthwash and orange juice,” someone else (jokingly?) said.

We don’t know what else to recommend in the beverage pairing department. We’re too distracted by her tongue – and thinking of all the other ways she could use it…
