Last season on “Hannibal,” the title character (as portrayed by Mads Mikkelsen) orchestrated an elaborate charade that left Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) questioning his sanity and on the hook for all of Hannibal’s murder victims.
In the upcoming second season, Will has regained his sanity, but he remains imprisoned as even his closest friends and associates believe him to be a monster. Meanwhile, the real monster is free to keep on killing under their noses. Dr. Lecter has even taken over Will’s old job as Jack Crawford’s (Laurence Fishburne) newest special agent.
However, the latest teaser trailer for “Hannibal” Season 2 certainly makes it look like Hannibal might be exposed…. but not before having at least one more person for dinner.
“Hannibal” Season 2 will bring back Eddie Izzard and Gillian Anderson as Dr. Abel Gideon and Dr. Du Maurier, respectively. New to the cast are Cynthia Nixon as Kade Prurnell, Michael Pitt as the infamous Mason Verger and Katharine Isabelle as Verger’s sister, Margot.
NBC will premiere the second season of “Hannibal” on Friday, February 28.
