Con man. Street wise magician. Occult Investigator. Any of those descriptions could be used for John Constantine. This fall, “Constantine” will add TV star to that list.
NBC is producing the “Constantine” TV series alongside Warner Bros. TV and DC Comics, but the series will also be broadcast around the world. In Canada, “Constantine” will air on the Global Network on the same day new episodes premiere in the U.S. on NBC.
Global Network has released a new trailer for “Constantine” that introduces John Constantine (Matt Ryan) and defines his partnership with Liv Aberdine (Lucy Griffiths), a young woman who has developed the ability to perceive the supernatural. Harold Perrineau also appears in the trailer as Manny, an angel who watches over Constantine. And in this clip, Manny reveals why John’s soul is in jeopardy.
Neil Marshall (the director of last night’s epic “Game of Thrones” episode”) will helm the “Constantine” pilot from a script by Daniel Cerone and David Goyer. “Constantine” will premiere on NBC and Global Network on Friday, October 24.
