Viewers of Channel Seven’s morning show “Sunrise” saw a little more than they bargained for this morning, after a hapless NFL player made an accidental naked cameo during a locker room interview.
Reports News Corp, Seven’s US correspondent Angela Cox was reporting from Australian Jarryd Hayne’s first press conference as a member of the NFL team San Francisco 49ers and while interviewing players in the locker room, captured some extra uncensored footage.
“We got a little bit more than we bargained for,” Cox explained on “Sunrise”. “I have to be honest — I didn’t notice until we watched the interview back … I swear.”
“I need to pay more attention when I’m in the locker room, clearly.” Watch footage from the segment below.
Jarryd Hayne signed a rookie contract with the 49ers earlier this year and told reporters today that while he was enjoying training with the team, he still has “a long road to travel” if he’s to make his NFL on-field debut.
The 49ers currently have about 90 players, and will cut that down to 53 on the eve of the 2015/16 season. The roster will be announced at the end of August.
According to Fox Sports, Hayne’s Carlos Hyde is impressed with the lengths the former Parramatta Eel is going to to learn on the job and expressed amusement at Hayne’s use of a “cheat sheet” during practice. “That’s the first time I’ve seen anyone go out with notes,” he said.
