Apple Has Fixed the Safari Bug That Was Crashing the Browser

Apple has now fixed an irritating bug that was causing the Safari browser to crash on iPhones, iPads and Macs.

The bug caused Safari to crash when users of the Apple devices attempted to type into the browser’s address bar, though was reportedly only affecting those who suggestions cache had updated this morning, Pacific Time. But now BuzzFeed News has claimed that an Apple spokesperson has confirmed that Apple has fixed the bug.

The issue caused Safari to trend worldwide today, as users around the world found themselves unable to use the browser. Though a fix has only just been issued by Apple, users uncovered a workaround for the problem, with them able to browse via Safari after turning off “Safari Suggestions” in either the Settings page on iOS, or the Search tab under Preferences in OS X.

So there you go, folks. If you were unable to browse the Internet using Safari earlier today, then rest assured that the issue should now be resolved.
