Bobbleheads are about to get their own hallowed place of honor, and there’s a preview of how it’ll look underway now in the heartland.
The RedLine Milwaukee gallery is currently hosting a preview edition of the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame while it completes its new location plans in the city for an autumn, 2016 opening. For now through the end of April, visitors can peruse a sampling of the Hall’s upcoming collection at their leisure for a suggested $5 donation.
Meanwhile, to get Hall of Fame on the national radar in style, the people behind the new attraction are hosting their first induction ceremony at Milwaukee’s Pabst Theater this Saturday with Pete Rose on-hand as the initial entrant. Of course, all fans in attendance receive a limited edition Rose bobblehead.

As for the Hall of Fame sneak peak at RedLine, every variety of bobblehead is on display. Of course, the classic and traditional baseball bobbleheads are front and center, with football, basketball, hockey and NASCAR stars bouncing up and down nearby.
But, figures of historical importance like Nelson Mandela and Leonardo Da Vinci to movie stars and superheroes to advertising icons stand plastic shoulder to crockery shoulder, depending on their age. Of course, “bobblehead” is a trademarked term, so some of spring-loaded faces show up under the labels of Wacky Wobbler or Bobbing Heads.
The new Hall of Fame is another element of a sports-themed resurgence for the Beer Capital of the World alongside the Milwaukee Bucks as that franchise begins building a new arena and downtown retail space this summer.
