The forecast calls for hot and bothered viewers in Washington state. How do we know? Because a local news station accidentally aired a porn clip in the middle of an otherwise unremarkable weather forecast.
It all went down at CBS affiliate KREM 2 in Spokane on Sunday evening. Meteorologist Michelle Boss was breaking down the weather report when a woman’s ass aired for 13 seconds. Neither Boss nor news anchor Cody Proctor reacted to the X-rated footage and the station quickly cut to weather maps.
The steamy incident sparked a criminal investigation by Spokane Police Department’s special victims unit.
“The incident generated numerous calls from concerned citizens in the city and county. At the time of this release, the investigation is ongoing and no culpability of any kind has been determined,” police said in a statement.
The station apologized to its viewers – more than once. “An inappropriate video aired in the first part of the show. We are diligently working to make sure something like this doesn’t happen again,” said Anne Bentley, the chief communications officer at TEGNA.
Honestly, we don’t think viewers minded that much. In fact, maybe a little hanky-panky in the weather report would liven things up a bit. It certainly took this “mild and dry” weather report into “wet and wild” territory.
