Meanwhile in New Jersey: ‘The Sopranos’ Food Tour Is the Best Way to Show Respect to TV’s Best Show

‘The Sopranos’ is one of the most popular shows in the history of television. It constantly tops lists for the best television shows of all time. The last episode aired in 2007. In it, the aforementioned Soprano family was seen getting ready to eat at a diner when, right as it seemed like Tony Soprano was going to meet his demise, the screen went black as Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” played. It was a confusing end to a great series that has been dissected and interpreted countless times in the decade-plus since. Even though it ended with a bit of mystery more than thirteen years ago, the show remains popular (popular enough that a spinoff movie was recently made called ‘The Many Saints of Newark‘). So, it only makes sense that there would be a ‘Sopranos’-themed food tour.

If you find yourself anywhere near northern New Jersey or New York City, you can attend this television-themed food tour for only $72 per person. If you’d like a private tour so you can stuff your face with cannoli without fear of strangers judging you, you can opt for the private tour for $160 per person (a minimum of three).

The tour begins at 7th Avenue and 39th Street in Manhattan before going on the Pulaski Skyway ramp to visit The Muffler Man, Pizza Land, and the Valley Landscape Silo. You’ll also visit Tony Soprano’s company that’s actually Barone Sanitation, Satin Dolls (known as Bad Bing on the show), Father Phil’s Parrish, the Skyway Diner, Satriele’s Pork Store, Searchlight Diner, and others.

The tour ends at Holsten’s where you’ll actually sit in booth B-3 where the show’s final scene took place. Let’s just hope when it’s all everything won’t fade to black for you.
